Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) is a powerful and versatile oxidizer widely used for disinfection and sterilization in pharmaceutical, medical device, and healthcare facilities. Vaporized hydrogen peroxide (VHP / vH₂O₂) provides excellent coverage, penetrating hard-to-reach areas and achieving 6-log10 microbial reduction at concentrations of 200–600 ppm. Product Overview

The H₂O₂ Destruction Catalytic Converter is a specialized catalytic system designed to rapidly decompose residual vaporized hydrogen peroxide following sterilization cycles.

The by-products of vH₂O₂ decomposition are simply water and oxygen, leaving no harmful residues that can cause irritation to personnel or potential damage to sensitive electronic equipment such as medical instruments and control systems.

Catalytic Decomposition Principle

The catalytic converter operates on the principle of catalytic decomposition, where the catalyst accelerates the natural breakdown of hydrogen peroxide:

ΔH = -196.1 kJ/mol

In the absence of a catalyst, this reaction has a high activation energy of approximately 75 kJ/mol.

Catalysts significantly lower this activation energy:
